About Me
Welcome to “Your Sweet Birth!” My name is Laurie Sweet CD(DONA), and I’m a DONA International certified birth doula. I have one child whose birth changed my life. I am excited you are considering me for your upcoming birth. I hope this website answers some of your questions.
Philosophy
I believe that birth is a natural process, but not one for which we are inherently prepared. My job is to support, educate, and respect you at this very special time in your life. I want you to have the best birth you can achieve. To that end, we will work together so that you know your options, feel respected and supported, and can make the best choices for you. I look forward to meeting you.
Services
It is important for a laboring woman to have a strong and trusting relationship with her doula. I, therefore, offer a free consultation so that we can meet in-person and see if we’re a good match. In the weeks leading up to the birth, we will meet several more times so that you are comfortable with me and I can learn about your vision for the birth. I will then come when you call me in labor and provide continuous support until an hour after your baby is born. Following the birth, we will have a final appointment to talk about your experience, answer questions, and provide any referrals you might need. Learn More
